JOHN FOGERTY
Saturday 11 June
With a career spanning over five decades, John Fogerty is hailed as one of the most influencial musicians in rock history. He became known as the founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, for which he was the lead singer, lead guitarist, and principal songwriter. Hit singles such as ‘Proud Mary’, ‘Down On The Corner’, ‘Bad Moon Rising’ and ‘Green River’ have become absolute classics. After the band disbanded in 1972, Fogerty embarked on solo career. ‘Rolling Stone’ honored him as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, 100 Greatest Songwriters, and 100 Greatest Singers. In 2019, Fogerty released ‘50 Year Trip: Live At Red Rocks’, named after his tour with the same name, a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. During the Covid crisis, Fogerty started recording music at home with his sons and daughter, resulting in a weekly video series and an EP, ‘Fogerty’s Factory’, which was released on May 28, 2020: his 75th birthday. November of that same year saw the release of an extended full album by the same name.
